Local athletes champing at the bit to compete in the Games

With less than two weeks to go until the opening ceremonies for the 5th International Children’s Winter Games, the athletes representing the City of Kelowna are raring to go.

Team Kelowna’s head of delegation Natasha Nicholls said the Kelowna athletes are ready to go.

“The team is set and can’t wait for the Games to begin, said Nicholls. “The athletes recently received their City of Kelowna team uniforms and if the smiles and excitement are any indication, these kids are pumped for the Games.”

Team Kelowna is made up of 69 girls and boys, 19 coaches, managers and trainers with teams in all seven sports.
